This site is a resource for both beginner and experienced musicians. I provide guides, articles, and gear reviews across everything from musical instrument choice to preparing for gigs.
The music industry is an incredibly difficult beast to get a grip on. In fact, the nature of how music is distributed and recorded has been changing dramatically over the last 20 years.
However, all of these challenges bring new opportunities. It’s now possible to record a whole album from your bedroom. All you need is a bit of determination, a willingness to learn, and the ability to constructively accept feedback from others.
There are such a wealth of music gear and products online, that it can be difficult for a budding musician to weed through the details. I try to present all of my guides and information in a concise and helpful manner.
I also attempt to provide information to the budding musician, using my knowledge to provide the best links to learning resources, communities, and knowledge that I can.
I’m extremely interested in writing about the development and lifestyle of musicians. I also love offering tips to help musicians for their recording and performances.
Music is a big passion of mine since I was given the gift of a Spanish Guitar as a kid. Even before that, I was already a long time air-guitarist (pretending to play on my lawn using a tennis racket!).
I play guitar, bass, drums, and I also produce and record music from my home studio. I’ve played in numerous bands across a variety of musical styles.
I absolutely love writing, and I spent so long working with other musicians and reading books on the industry that I decided to start my own site and share my own knowledge with the world.
