Secure. Data stays in your browserFrets are absolute positions, 0–24. The diagram adjusts its starting fret automatically.
Create a ukulele chord diagram
The diagram uses standard G–C–E–A tuning, with the G string normally tuned above C. Enter 0 for an open string or X for a muted one; fretted notes are drawn automatically across a five-fret window. The left-handed option mirrors the string order while keeping each string’s label attached to its fret. A diagram records the fingering you enter and does not certify that it matches the chord label. Using the Ukulele Chord Diagram Maker
Draw a ukulele shape for your own chord chart or lesson. Enter the fingering first, then use a label that accurately describes what you play.
Instructions
- Enter Chord label and choose Handedness.
- Set each G, C, E and A string to its absolute fret number, 0 for open or X for muted.
- Check the automatically positioned fret window and string labels. Click Download SVG to save the diagram.
Checking the ukulele shape
A common C-major shape uses 0, 0, 0, 3 across G, C, E, A. Left-handed mode mirrors the diagram while keeping each fret attached to its string. The label is text you supply; the tool does not verify that the chosen notes make that chord.
What to do if the diagram seems reversed or a dot is outside it
- Check Handedness and follow the printed string labels rather than assuming a left-to-right order.
- Use frets counted from the nut. A shape spanning more than five frets marks outside-window notes above their strings.
- Check tuning before naming the chord. The string labels refer to standard G–C–E–A tuning, normally with high G.
SVG can be resized for a printed sheet without blurring the lines. Try the shape on your own instrument before sharing the finished diagram.
