Online Stage Plot Maker

Give your stage a clear plan

Place performers and equipment on a simple stage diagram, then send an SVG or printed copy to your venue.

Secure. Data stays in your browser

Drag items around the stage. Positions update the sliders below automatically. You can also focus an item and use arrow keys (Shift for larger steps). Audience at the bottom. Up to 30 items.

How to read your stage plot

The audience sits at the bottom of this diagram. Add a clear label for each performer, monitor, amplifier or instrument. The horizontal and depth controls place each item as a percentage of the stage, so the diagram is a relative layout rather than a measured floor plan.

Share the plot alongside your input list and confirm who supplies each piece of equipment. Keep pathways and sightlines in mind when discussing the final arrangement with the venue.

Using the Stage Plot Builder

Show the venue where performers and equipment should sit on stage. Keep labels short and use the plot alongside an input list so positions and channel needs are both clear.

Instructions

  1. Enter Artist / show and edit the starter stage items.
  2. Use Add stage item for another performer, amplifier or monitor. Set Across stage (%) and Depth from rear (%) for each item.
  3. Check the preview with the audience at the bottom, then Download SVG or Print plot.

Understanding the stage positions

Across stage at 50% puts an item in the middle; a larger depth percentage moves it toward the audience. These are relative positions, not measurements in meters or feet. Row arrows change list order and item numbering, while the position controls set the actual location.

What to do if the plot is hard to read

  • Move overlapping items apart and shorten long labels. Use the separate input list for detailed equipment notes.
  • Check the audience marker before interpreting left and right. Confirm stage-left terminology with the venue separately.
  • Remove unused items if you reach the 30-item limit. Open the downloaded SVG to check the final layout.

Discuss the plan with the venue before the show. The plot is a communication aid and does not confirm stage dimensions, safe clearances or available equipment.
