Setlist Planner & Time Calculator
Plan your songs, breaks and stage time. Move entries to shape the flow of your set.
Secure. Data stays in your browserEnter durations as minutes:seconds, for example 3:45. Include tuning, introductions and transitions as breaks.
Build a setlist that fits the slot
Start with the live running time of each song, then add entries for introductions, tuning, instrument changes and an encore. Album track lengths are a useful starting point, but a rehearsal recording gives you a better estimate for the versions you actually play.
Leave room for the room
A set that fills every available second on paper can overrun when applause or a slow changeover enters the picture. Reserve a little breathing space for your event. The planner shows time remaining or time over your limit; it does not assume a hidden buffer.
Reorder, rehearse and share
Use the up and down controls to try a new running order. Cumulative end times help you see where each entry falls. Export a CSV for a spreadsheet, or print a clean running sheet for the stage. Optional remembering saves only in this browser’s local storage. Clearing the setlist also deletes its saved copy.
Using the Setlist Time Planner
Build a running order that includes the spaces between songs. A set can overrun even when the song lengths fit, so include introductions, tuning and planned breaks.
Instructions
- Enter your set name and available time. Use Add song or Add break to create entries.
- Give each entry a name and duration in minutes:seconds, such as 3:45. Use the row arrows to arrange the order.
- Check the total and remaining time. Use Export CSV or Print setlist for a copy, and enable Remember this setlist on this device only if you want browser storage.
Reading the running total
A 3:45 song followed by a 1:00 transition takes 4:45. Each entry's end time is measured from the start of the set, not a clock time. If the total exceeds your available minutes, the planner shows the amount over.
What to do if the total is blank or a saved set is missing
- Check every duration. Seconds must run from 00 to 59, so 2:99 needs rewriting as 3:39.
- A saved set belongs to this browser and device. Private browsing or cleared site data can remove it.
- Check the downloaded CSV in your spreadsheet application if its default separator puts everything in one column.
Leave a little spare time for the room and the audience. Export a copy you can keep before clearing the set or changing browsers.
