Four-beat count-in at each step. Controls lock while running or paused; reset to change the schedule. Audio stops when you leave this page or window.

Use a tempo ladder for focused practice

Start at a tempo where your movement and timing feel controlled. Each step contains your chosen number of repetitions, measured in bars. A four-beat count-in precedes every step, giving you time to prepare for the faster click.

Choose small increases and repeat a step when accuracy slips. Pause keeps your position; reset returns to the beginning. This ladder uses four quarter-note beats per bar and a constant number of bars for every repetition.

    Using the Practice Tempo Ladder

Raise the tempo in small planned steps while keeping the same exercise. Choose a starting speed you can play accurately, rather than beginning near your limit.

    Instructions

    1. Set Start BPM, Target BPM and Increase per step. Choose Repetitions per step and Bars per repetition.
    2. Check the schedule and Click volume, then press Start ladder. Each step begins with a four-beat count-in.
    3. Use Pause to hold your position, Resume ladder to continue, Stop to end playback or Reset to return to the beginning and change the plan.

    Following the tempo schedule

A start of 60 BPM, target of 100 and increase of 10 gives 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100. The target is included even when the last increase is smaller. Each repetition uses four beats per bar; the count-in gives you time to prepare for the next speed.

What to do if the ladder is too fast or stops

    • Reset and lower the start or target if you lose control. More repetitions at one speed can be more useful than a larger increase.
    • Settings lock while running or paused. Reset before editing the schedule.
    • Keep the page active and check the playback output. Leaving the page or window stops the audio.

The ladder advances on time, not on your accuracy. Pause or repeat a slower session whenever your playing needs more work.
