Online Lyric Sheet Formatter
Choose a type size and column layout, keep stanza breaks, and print a clear reference for rehearsal or performance.
Secure. Data stays in your browserFormat lyrics for quick reading
Separate stanzas with a blank line and use short section labels such as Verse or Chorus when helpful. The preview preserves your line breaks. Larger type helps at a distance; two columns can fit a longer song on fewer pages.
Print preview lets you check your own printer’s page size and margins. Long stanzas may move between columns or pages. This tool formats text you enter and does not search for or supply lyrics.
Using the Lyric Sheet Formatter
Make your own lyrics easier to read at rehearsal or on stage. Keep section labels and stanza breaks clear so you can find your place quickly.
Instructions
- Enter Song title and paste the lyrics you want to format. Use a blank line between stanzas.
- Choose Type size (pt) and Columns, then check the preview.
- Use Print lyric sheet for a formatted copy or Download text to keep the words as a plain text file.
Choosing a readable layout
One column gives a simple reading order; two can fit more lyrics on a page. Larger type helps at a distance but uses more space. The preview preserves your line breaks and groups stanzas, while the plain text download does not carry the type size or column layout.
What to do if the printed sheet breaks awkwardly
- Check your browser's print preview, paper size and margins before printing. The screen preview cannot predict every printer setting.
- Try one column or a smaller type size if long stanzas will not fit. Add clear Verse and Chorus labels where useful.
- The tool treats entered text literally. HTML tags are not a way to add formatting.
Keep a readable master copy and test it at the distance you will use it. This formatter uses text you enter; it does not search for or supply song lyrics.
