The Next Stage of Standalone Music Production

Equipped with the same powerful multi-core processor as the MPC X, the Akai Professional MPC One+ delivers huge creative potential in a compact, standalone form factor. From sampling and beat programming to editing, mixing, effects, and more, the MPC One+ packs everything producers love about the classic Music Production Center into an effortlessly portable unit. And now you can edit and chop samples with hand gestures on the 7-inch touchscreen, map your most-used parameters to touch-sensitive encoders, and tap into the ultimate creative workspace with MPC2 software integration. Moreover, the MPC One+ introduces extensive Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as new Ableton Link capabilities, ensuring you’re always able to connect in any style. The role of a music producer has evolved over the years, but one thing that hasn't changed is the vast sonic potential of MPC workstations like the MPC One+.

The original standalone workstation

The MPC experience has always been about getting your hands on your music, no computer required. Musicians at Sweetwater are pleased to see the MPC One+ delivers the true MPC experience, right down to the 16 RGB-backlit, velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads for banging out beats, playing bass lines, and composing melodies. Classic MPC note entry tools, including Note Repeat, Full Level, and 16 Levels are all here, and you can assign four of your most-used parameters to the touch-sensitive rotary encoders. From your first inspiration to the final polish, you'll never have to take your hands off your MPC One+.

Modern connectivity options

With its powerful sequencing and sampling abilities, the MPC One+ is perfect for pairing with other synthesizers, drum machines, and other sound generators. It's ready to fit into your creative workflow no matter how you like to create music. In addition to line-level inputs and outputs, you'll find a bank of CV/Gate outputs for use with Eurorack modular synthesizers. MIDI I/O is present for connecting synths, effects, and other MIDI-capable gear. You'll even find a USB input so you can compose music with your favorite controller instead of the pads. With ongoing firmware updates, you can always plug your USB class-compliant audio interface into the MPC One+ to directly record instrument and vocal tracks — no DAW required!

Powered by MPC2

Whether you're using your MPC One+ standalone or in controller mode, Akai Professional's MPC2 software delivers a ton of creative potential. It's the most advanced MPC engine to date, delivering 136-track sequencing (128 MIDI and eight audio), real-time time stretching, clip launching, and incredibly advanced MIDI editing. It's compatible as a VST in controller mode, and a standalone application is also available for advanced functionality with your Mac or PC. MPC software basically gives you the most comprehensive experience when using the MPC One+ standalone, and also gives you unprecedented potential when you do decide to get your computer in on the action. What’s more, the new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options mean software, firmware, new plug-ins, and cutting-edge sounds are always right at your fingertips.

Loaded with loops, samples, instruments, and effects

The MPC One+ packs 16GB of internal storage (you can add your own samples via SD card or USB), and right out of the box you'll find a ton of great content. A new drum sample and loop library deserves some auditioning time, with production-ready sounds created by sound designers, including RawCutz, F9, Decap MSX Sound Design, and MVP Loops, among others. MPC One+ also features Akai Professional's acclaimed instrument plug-ins — Electric, Tubesynth, and Bassline — plus renowned AIR FX mixing and mastering processors. Regular firmware updates mean even more exciting features are always in the pipeline, headlined by 14 incredible plug-ins, including the brand-new Air Vocal Insert Effect Suite featuring Vocal Tuner, Vocal Harmonizer, and Vocal Doubler effects. With user-focused upgrades like this, you're more equipped than ever to produce radio-ready tracks with the MPC One+.

MPC ONE +

I love it, I can put my ideas down no matter where I'm at.

Powerful Little Machine

This is an extremely powerful little machine, for not too much money. For what it's worth, I've been an MPC user since the 90's, and I also have the flagship model (the MPCX SE) so I have a fairly good idea of how the models compare. I purchased the MPC One+ so I could continue my work on projects while I was away from the home studio, and I just have to say: this one can do almost everything the big MPC X SE can do, for a third of the price. The biggest difference between the models are inputs/outputs and memory for using plugins. The screen/pads is slightly smaller, but still very usable. And all the same plugins that I use on the SE work perfectly on the One+. Easy to move projects between machines/computers with the sd drive. Best of all, I can fit the MPC One+, small midi keyboard, and all my accessories easily in a backpack. If you're thinking of getting into the MPC, this is a perfect place to start.

Worth more than they are charging! I bought by accident, but fell in LOVE and couldn’t say goodbye.

Lifelong musician, used MPK 88 an iMac before I got this to make beats but after using this, I can't believe how much is put into this item. The value is out of control. I am working with a rapper from Detroit and when I played a 30 second. Keep of me making a beat from scratch with the fire samples, the artist messaged me back and started writing over the beat I made just to show the sounds and functionality to the client but it turned into a real song! This thing has it all. If you have a mixer and a mic you could plug tons of channels into a mixer and send it into the 2 1/4" inputs. I want to use this to make music live for steaming and in person events as well as its ability to record guitars and keys even vocals, I can take this one item to an artist, have then hum, sing, and beatbox a bit and my fingers do the rest. It's too nice. I can see why people use samplers and this one is the BEST for the $ and so ahead of what I even knew was out there. It's a full recording station, with bass, keys, drums , and lots of cool vocals and loops, and you can add audio then chop it up into pieces that are triggered again by touching whichever pad you touched while the recording is playing back. Basically turn any song into a "Banger" by chopping a song up after sampling then adding other tracks from the built in sounds. You can record 8 separate tracks for each song. 12 GB of space for songs. But that's enough to write and then dump onions stun g else to master it. You can mix and edit the music nicely and even add effects with automation so that you can do "throws" strategically and it plays back when the loop starts over just the way you added the affects like recording your performance of the effects.
All things you can do in logic but are hard to control without expensive hardware. I plan to use this as a controller when I'm making beats with Logic and Universal Audio instruments as well as a controller for the faders when mixing to give a more real feel on fades and volume swells.
It is my new friend.

Likin’ it !

I got the One Plus a couple weeks ago, I'm not used to Akai workflow but figuring it out. Actually pretty intuitive once you get familiar.
Well thought out unit with lots of possibilities . The build quality is solid/excellent. The knobs and buttons are solid and feel great, the pads are nice and responsive and you can even adjust the sensitivity and after touch to your liking. Touch screen is very responsive. They pretty much hit a home run on this one. The only limit is your imagination. The learning isn't bad even for an old guy like me who has been doing computer/DAW thing for quite a while now. Biggest bang for the $ out there right now. Checkout Loopop review on YTube.
