Fun filled jammer

This little keyboard is a great addition to string bands, providing some great sustain and chordal background. Soloing also stands out. Lightweight and mobile. I"d give it a 5 except for some minor latency when you are getting low on breath.

Hohner Performer 37

Most people reading this will not know the consummate entertainer Steve Allen, but for me, I lived for his nightly show on my little rabbit eared TV set watching him night after night patiently waiting for him to play his melodica. I was fully consumed with the idea of being able of taking three octaves of my piano with me to the mountains or to the beach or to a jam or to the park. Granted it sounded like an accordion, but compromises must be made and I could live with the sound. Especially after having a drawer filled with harmonicas that could never get me beyond "Saints Go Marching In."

The Performer 37 is the best keyboard instrument you can buy under $100. Simply the best. If you can put up with the metal reed sound and don't mind not using and replacing batteries and getting a very cool case at no charge; this instrument is a no-brainer.
