A Streamlined, Easy-to-use Wireless System from Sennheiser

The Sennheiser XSW 1-825 Dual bundles great sound and ease of use into a sleek handheld wireless system. The two included transmitters employ 825 cardioid capsules with a warm, smooth sound and excellent feedback rejection. Convenient features like one-button scanning and synchronization are housed in a streamlined receiver with built-in antennas. Intuitive icon-based indicators make operation a piece of cake. Use up to 10 systems simultaneously. The Sennheiser XSW 1-825 Dual is a great handheld wireless system for singers, presenters, and instrumentalists.

XS Wireless 1 systems deliver Sennheiser quality for less

Sennheiser XS Wireless 1 systems combine modern looks with great sound and ease of use. At Sweetwater, we appreciate that XS Wireless 1 systems can operate up to 10 channels simultaneously. And their wallet-friendly price allows first-time and budget-contained users to get their hands on genuine Sennheiser quality.

825 capsules exhibit excellent onstage performance

The two handheld transmitters included with the Sennheiser XSW 1-825 Dual are outfitted with 825 capsules. For a great all-around stage mic, you can't beat the 825. Its cardioid pickup pattern yields superior feedback and off-axis rejection. Its balanced frequency response exhibits a warm, smooth sound. You'll also appreciate its resistance to handling noise.

Sennheiser — exceptional sound quality and reliability

The Sennheiser name is synonymous with wired and wireless microphones, complete wireless systems, and studio-grade headphones. For example, guitarists worldwide know that the e609 and e906 dynamic microphones sound outstanding with pretty much any guitar amplifier, and their ruggedness makes them perfect for live use. The MD 421 dynamic mic is known by studio engineers to be a flexible solution for vocals, drums, amps and bass cabinets, with high SPL handling and excellent transient response. Onstage, artists know that when they're handed an e865, e935, e945 or other Sennheiser vocal microphone, they can expect studio-quality reproduction and excellent resistance to feedback. And in the world of wireless microphone systems, Sennheiser's evolution wireless systems give you the ability to set up many simultaneous wireless channels without interference.

Sennheiser XSW 1-825 Dual Handheld Wireless System Features:

  • Easy-to-use handheld wireless system with great sound
  • 1-button scanning and synchronization make setup easy
  • 825 capsules exhibit a warm, smooth sound with excellent feedback rejection
  • Intuitive icon-based indicators for simple operation

Solid mics

These mics were easy to setup out of the box and have high quality, clean sound. They are easy to use (once the vocalists get clear on the mute button versus power button and the power button is pressed up, not in). They are elegant (if that term can be appropriately use to describe a wireless mic system) We appreciate that they are made in the US.

Most Certainly Ready for Pro Sound. If you Karaoke, you may want to look into a cheap system.

This mic has a flat EQ, which means, if you are a fairly experienced sound man, getting this mic to sit well in the mix is no problem if you know something about EQ. Its resistance to feedback is a major plus for this mic. Frequency band makes it easy to avoid interference. I walked around to the side of my stucco house, and the mic continued to transmit well (I was wearing an IEM to monitor it). If you want a plug-and-play mic, you may have some complaints. If you are not afraid to spend time with the channel, squelch and volume, and tweak a little on the EQ at the mixing console, you will find this mic to be a perfect fit for your portable PA for indoor and outdoor events (even though it says that it is for indoor, you can ignore that). The range is just fine for portable PA's and you do not need line-of-sight for a stability.

I saw a few negative reviews on this, but it seemed to be associated with a lack of knowledge about the product in general and, more specifically, the product settings as opposed to its operation.

The only difference between the 825 and 835 is that the 835 is already EQ'd for you. I, personally, don't need that help, so the 825 is perfectly fine.

If you Karaoke, get the 835 for the okie dokie.
