Pedal board

I love this thing! Plenty of room for some "hopefully soon" additional pedals And no more expensive 9v batteries to deal with!

Great pedal board!!!

I was looking create my first pedal board that would be simple to assemble and found this one to be the perfect board for simplicity, price and convenience. The velcro I love because it makes it easy to customize and it comes with every power cable that I needed. (Even the power adaptor has velcro!!). The case is cool too and makes it easy to carry. This board really saves me time when setting up my rig and keeps everything neat and organized.

A great value

I picked one of these up for convenience of use in my studio, though I plan to travel locally with it. There are more pressing reviews I'd like to get out of the way, but I think some important information about this product needs disclosing.

Looking through the reviews, I saw criticisms that fell to three areas:
1.) Weakness in the power brick supplied.
2.) No organization for power leads, resulting in the usual rat's nest on top.
3.) The cheapness of the carrying bag.

Given the convenience provided by this PB, I thought I'd address the above individual points from my experience. I received my pedalboard the second week of February 2021.

1.) Some of the reviews I've seen state that the power brick supplied proved anemic for some pedal applications. My unit arrived with a 1.0 Amp brick, which agrees with other reviews I've read. I state this because the description specs a 500 mA source, which would be anemic. Anyway, 1.0 Amp means roughly that (8) 100 mA typical pedals would leave about 20% headroom, worst case. Of course, there are higher current 9V power solutions readily available should the need arise. I've tested this power supply in the studio and found it to be quiet. My pedal power budget (see photo) sums to a bit under 600 mA. A couple of my pedals use scant amounts of power. I note that for recording, I might give my Walrus tremolo pedal an isolated power port--they can tend to generate a bit of noise at intermediate and higher frequencies.

2.) This is a valid point, but one that can be easily addressed. I used self-adhesive adjustable clips to fix the excess power lead's length to the leading edge of the pedalboard. A bag of fifty costs less than $10 from suppliers of DIY/Maker goods.

3.) I'm wondering if SKB got the memo on their bag and dealt with it. I'd say my pedalboard, fully fleshed out, is still substantially outweighed by my Les Paul. To test the bag, I went out to my shop and zipped up my socket wrench set and heavy-duty battery-powered drill--several Les Paul's, zipped it up, and took a walk around my lot. No problems.
Now I'm not saying this PB compares with a Pedaltrain (which I also own), or a handmade Walrus Phoenix isolated supply (I also own), but for the price, it's a really terrific product that saves space and clutter. It even looks nice and comes with the hook and loop pre-installed. Add the adhesive-backed cable clips and you have a solution for smaller systems that pretty hard to beat.

For the functionality at this price point, I've got to give this product 5 stars.

Good board but a little messy

The board is great in providing a large area for flexibility in pedal placement and easy for plugging in up to 8 pedals. However, since you can't run any cables and wires underneath like most other designs, it does get a little messy and requires wire ties to keep the look clean. See photo. Otherwise it is a great budget or starter pedal board.
