Awesome axe!

I expected this guitar to be built well, otherwise, Eddie wouldn't have put his name on it. It by far exceeded my expectations. There isn't a scratch, dent or blemish anywhere. As for the performance, it sounds amazing. It was cold outside when it was delivered. I let it sit overnight and when I went to tune it, it was almost perfect. It stays in tune no matter how many dive bombs you do. It was ready right out of the box. If you're looking for a high quality, affordable guitar, look no further.

Im not a professional but this guitar Rocks. I would not change anything about is. If you are thinking about getting one the EVH do it.

EVH Striped Series.

Guitar was shipped and delivered quickly, as always, thank you Cristian and Sweetwater.
I've owned and sold a ton of guitars, but this is a keeper.
I'll try and hit a couple of things I don't see talked about much.
Fret work is really good, could have been a touch smoother, but all in all 9/10.
The neck profile is interesting, it's a modest C shape, but it's a pretty thin neck. Not like an Ibanez, but thinner than a Fender C.
Tremolo works great, stays in tune really well even after deep dives.
The stock Wolfgang is a smoking pickup, sounds great high gain and clean. Very clear, articulate but totally grinds and chugs distorted.
If I had anything to complain about it would be the tuners. While adequate, locking tuners would have been better.
But for the money this is a straight up legit pro level guitar.

Amazing

Got this guitar as a gift from Sweetwater and it's awesome, especially for dive bombs. As someone who's wanted one since he was a beginner I'm glad I didn't get it right out of the gate. The locking tremolo would have given me a run for my money back the, but now after getting everything dialed in, it's one of my favorite features. If you want a guitar that pretty much always stays in tune no matter what you throw at it, this is it. This will be your new E Standard and Drop D guitar, because the D-Tuna is something I didn't know about or know I needed, but it's really convenient once dialed in. Keep in mind if you are a beginner who's looking for a quality guitar that works for Rock Smith, those are the only tunings you'll really be able to do without adjusting your bridge. You'll really want a fixed bridge for Rock Smith.

As with pretty much everywhery I've ordered from, the guitar was out of tune, but I always replace the strings with my favorite ones as soon as I get a new guitar, so not a huge deal. I hear a lot of guitarist hate on the Floyd Rose setup, but I found it really easy to work with and the fine tuning makes on the fly adjustments super easy.
